Miles McPherson is the pastor of Rock Church in San Diego, California. From 1982 to 1985 he played defensive back for the San Diego Chargers. In 1984, after struggling with drugs, McPherson became a Christian. In September 1986 he retired from the NFL and enrolled Azusa Pacific University’s School of Theology and received his MDiv in 1991. The following year he founded Miles Ahead, a non-profit evangelical organization. McPherson founded the Rock Church in 2000 and is now attended weekly by more than 12,000 people. He is the author of God in the Mirror, DO Something!, The Power of Believing in Your Child, and Parenting the Wild Child.
