Q: What’s the difference between Logos and Verbum?
A: Verbum is simply the Catholic version of Logos Bible Software. Though many of the features are the same, Verbum includes different resources and a few different tools that Logos does not have, like the Catholic Topical Index, the Liturgical Layout, and the Saints Database. Because Verbum’s functionality is similar to Logos’, in most cases you can learn more and troubleshoot Verbum by browsing the Logos support pages as well.
Q: I already own the Logos desktop application. What is the best way to install Verbum?
A: If you already own Logos, you can access all your content simply by making sure you are in “Verbum mode.” If you’re not sure if you’re in Verbum mode, type “Set Verbum to Yes” in the command bar in your Verbum window. If you want to install or reinstall Verbum, the best way is by downloading it. Please visit our installation page for download instructions.
Q: Can I use Verbum on my mobile device?
Logos for mobile devices is cloud based and only uses storage for the application and individual resources you choose to manually download.
Q: Now that I’ve installed Verbum, what’s next?
A: The Verbum desktop application is a very large and expansive research tool, but you can quickly search your entire library right from the homepage. Simply enter a passage or word you wish to study, then click Go. You’ll get results from your entire library almost instantly, including your top Bibles, commentaries, and other reference works.
Q: How do I purchase new books?
A: Verbum allows you to build a library tailored to your specific study needs. In addition to the books included in your original purchase, there are tens of thousands more books from over 150 publishers in the Verbum ebook format with more coming in through Pre–Publication all the time. All online purchases will require you to sign in to Verbum.com. If you don’t have a current Verbum.com account, you will need to register. Be sure to fill in all required fields. Returning users should sign in before shopping.

Do I need to own a Verbum base package to get Verbum Now?
No, Verbum Now gives you access to all of the Verbum features, including those in Verbum 6. However, you will need library resources to make better use of the features.
I already own Verbum 6 (or previous) base package. Why Verbum Now?
If you are not a Verbum Now member, your software is out of date. If you have a previous version of Verbum, you will get the Full Feature Set of Verbum 6, plus all the Verbum 7 early release features, plus the new, subscription-only features. Additionally, members enjoy numerous other benefits that help the membership pay for itself, including member-only pricing and access to the web app.
What’s the difference between Logos Now and Verbum Now?
Verbum Now and Logos Now are mostly the same, except for a few differences in content and features. Verbum Now includes access to the Verbum Cloud Feature Set (which includes things like Catholic Topical Index and the Saints Database) and the Verbum Web App. Verbum Now and Logos Now have different free preview resources, but otherwise all special discounts and members-only pricing will generally be available to both Logos Now and Verbum Now members.
I have a payment plan. How does a membership impact my payment plan?
Payment plans and memberships are different things and will be seen as two separate transactions on your credit card statement.
Can I get a monthly Verbum Now membership?
No, Verbum Now requires annual membership.
What if I have a current monthly subscription to Verbum Now?
Existing users who currently have a monthly subscription to Verbum Now, you will be given all the benefits of the new Verbum Now membership. Existing monthly subscriptions can auto-renew through December 31st 2016. Monthly subscribers will save with an annual membership.
What happens if I cancel my membership?
You will lose access to the Verbum Cloud Feature Set and all additional member benefits included in Verbum Now. Anything you purchased and that is permanently licensed to you, including the Verbum Core Engine, will still be available and yours to use. Possible scenarios:
- - If you never purchased a base package, when you cancel your membership, you will only have the Verbum Core Engine.
- - If you owned Verbum 5 and were a Now member, when you cancel your membership, you will lose access to Verbum 6 features, Verbum 7 early access features, and subscription-only features.
- - If you owned Verbum 6 and were a Now member, when you cancel your membership, you will lose access to Verbum 7 early access features, and subscription-only features.
How can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership by calling our customer service department at (800) 875-6467. You will be refunded as long as you cancel within the 30-day return period. Once past the 30-day return period, your membership is non-refundable and you will continue to have full access to all member benefits until the end of the annual membership term.

Does the Verbum Cloud Feature Set work offline?
Yes. The Verbum Cloud Feature Set is accessed through your Verbum desktop app and most features are available offline. You have to be online to install the features initially, but you it will work offline after that. You will also have access to an online version of the software, which does require an Internet connection. Features like Media Browser will require an Internet connection to access your media.
