The Believers Bible Commentary is my favorite one-volume commentary. From my comparisons, it is little better than The Bible Knowledge Commentary and also better than The Expositor's Bible Commentary. And the NIVAC is not verse by verse like this one, so it takes more of a time investment. So, this has the best information quickly, between a study bible and full commentary. More importantly I get more of a sense that the authors are coming from a personal Christian viewpoint. So, this is book has a life application style, for insightful preaching points. In print, I like that is one volume, instead of NT/OT, as this is one of the few books that I will take when I go off-grid.

When studying a passage this is usually the first commentary I open. It is rarely the last, but most often the first. I appreciate it's concise, clear, expounding of passages. I highly recommend getting this resource. I have it both digitally and on my bookshelf.Erick R. Kendall
