This resource discusses the second cleansing and what the Bible says in regards to this subject.
Excerpt: Christendom is fairly well agreed on the general aspects of the first cleansing—justification or salvation. This cannot be said of the second cleansing, sanctification, however. In fact, many Christians do not even know there are two cleansings taught in the Scripture. There are those who teach more than two cleansings. Others actively oppose the teaching of a second cleansing. Some admit two works of grace but claim that the second work is an infilling only, contending that all sin is removed in the first work.
