Overview

Dr. James Strong and a team of scholars spent more than thirty-five years preparing the Strong's numbering system which has become the standard for identifying words with links to the original Greek and Hebrew words. With the numbering system tied to a particular word in English, the average lay-person can easily study the meanings of the Greek and Hebrew words.

First published in 1890, this tool is still used today by pastors, scholars and laymen alike for nearly a century.

I don't know what I got but I expected to get the Strong's exhaustive concordance this did not seem to be it, I have a hard copy and another digital copy running in eSword the results and use of both are more useful then this appears to be, If it was to turn out I haven't accessed the right options and I learn it that would be great but as it stands this was not a wise use of my money and serves no purpose toward my study of God word.

I expected this to include the same material as my hard-copy Strong’s Concordance, but although it tells me how many times an English word occurs, it doesn’t list which verses the word occurs in. I don’t buy a concordance just to find out that φθόνος is translated as “envy” in 8 verses; I buy it to find out which 8 verses those are. As it is, 99% of the function of a concordance is lacking from this product.

Is it just me or is this concordance not for the mobile app? It does not show the verses where the words are used. The only clickable link when opened up on my phone is the Greek word which opens up the dictionary.

This a a solid resource if someone is trained in how to properly use it. That it has been misused is true, but this represents a misuse of the tool, not a failure of the tool itself.
