Isaiah prophesied that the work of Jesus on behalf of the poor, the brokenhearted, the captives, and the prisoners would include giving them “a crown of beauty instead of ashes” (Isaiah 61:3, HCSB). Beauty From Ashes looks at the lives of six people in the Bible whose actions were wrong, but in God’s grace He brought them through brokenness and did something remarkable.
