Each section of the commentary includes:
- Pericope Bibliography—a helpful resource containing the most important works that pertain to each particular pericope.
- Translation—the author’s own translation of the biblical text, reflecting the end result of exegesis and attending to Hebrew and Greek idiomatic usage of words, phrases, and tenses, yet in reasonably good English.
- Notes—the author’s notes to the translation that address any textual variants, grammatical forms, syntactical constructions, basic meanings of words, and problems of translation.
- Form/Structure/Setting—a discussion of redaction, genre, sources, and tradition as they concern the origin of the pericope, its canonical form, and its relation to the biblical and extra-biblical contexts in order to illuminate the structure and character of the pericope. The WBC is a work of art. Not affordable for everyone. Theology books remain on the expensive side especially if you are dealing with currency deals. Technically, sound scholarship, comprehensive and deeply insightful. It is a must have and a 'go to' commentary set that should be consulted first. Yes, I love it, and its my go-to series. Its my bench mark to which all others are being compared too. I do think some writers are stringer than others, even though, it remains an amazing commentary series. Be blessed using it!!Richard L. can some tell me what the difference is between the "Logos Edition" and the "Logos Edition (group)"?

As Laity, not Clergy, with no training in foreign or ancient languages, I need a Commentary with a lower level of technical explanation of the original language but with a sophisticated explanation of scripture. Word Biblical Commentary has been that for me starting when Logos released its first collection of WBC volumes. I am giving it only 4 stars because we were sold on the belief that WBC would offer volumes covering the complete Bible. There are only a few volumes short of being complete. However, I really miss that the book of Acts is not available and apparently the remaining books will not be offered. I still recommend this commentary set.Matthias Jonas Bühler

Spectacular series. As someone with a Masters in Bible Exposition and a Ph.D. student, this is my go-to commentary, without question. Best series Ive seen. Its both accessible and incomprehensible in its depth.
