Digital Verbum Edition
A Storehouse of Scriptural Knowledge! A doctrinal study of the Plan of the Ages consisting of 52 lessons with 26 supplemental faith building chapters added. God's Plan For Man contains the very heart of his life's work. Originally designed as a correspondence course, God's Plan For Man is equivalent to a three-year Bible College program. As such, it is highly interactive and intended for serious study. In this comprehensive volume, Dake unfolds the plans and purposes of God from the eternal past to the eternal future, exploring biblical prophecy and the privileges of life in Christ. He systematically discusses the nature of the Bible, principles of biblical interpretation, the Trinity and much more. In God's Plan For Man, Dake writes with a pastor's heart. His aim is to encourage faith. The result is a balanced diet that satisfies both heart and mind.

“In Gen. 1:2 we have the fact that the Earth was in existence before the Spirit of God began to move (brood) upon the face of the waters which covered the Earth. The conjunction ‘and’ is used to connect about 200 separate acts of God in Gen. 1 and 2. These acts are all equally independent and important. Verse 2 is as independent of verse 1 as are all other separate acts of God in these two chapters. In verse 1 we have the original creation of the heavens and the Earth, and in verse 2 we have the original perfect Earth made chaos and flooded with water which destroyed all life on the Earth.” (Page 117)
“He tells the reason why truths are hidden from some. It is because they refuse to humble themselves to believe and conform to the Bible (Mt. 13:10–17). He speaks of the devil taking the Word from the hearts of men lest it should bring forth fruit (Mt. 13:19–23). Paul speaks of the devil blinding the minds of men lest they should believe, and he also speaks of men willfully handling the Word of God dishonestly and deceitfully (2 Cor. 4:1–6).” (Page 37)
“It is all-important, therefore, that you be simple and humble in your attitude. Take the place of a disciple (learner), and accept at face value everything that God says on any subject, whether or not it harmonizes with your theories or those of your former teachers. If you want truth just as it is in the Bible, you have finally found the true source of your information.” (Page 3)
“The Bible, or God’s plan in Scripture, is very simple to understand. No man has any excuse for misunderstanding it. Jesus constantly invited and provoked study of the Scriptures, and even rebuked men for their lack of knowledge of revealed truth.” (Page 1)
