“ four basic steps: observation, interpretation, correlation, and application.” (source)

“Prayer is the way that we are to submit everything to the Lord. As we pray, we invite God to come and work in the things that concern us. By obeying His command and placing our cares on Him, we are putting those things under His control rather than our own. This is not only submission, but the very act of humbling ourselves that 1 Peter 5:6, 7 speaks of. In prayer we are acknowledging that God can take care of all that concerns us and that we cannot. The open admission of our condition before the Lord is always needed as we approach His throne. The result is that God will exalt us in due time. Coming humbly before the Lord in prayer not only brings the exalting of our situation through answered prayer but also the exalting of our spirit into immediate communion with our Heavenly Father.” (source)

“the access to a realm of spiritual partnership with Him in the dominion of His kingdom.” (source)

“Seek and you will find’ (Matt. 7:7). This is not just the story of a four-year-old child; these are the words of Jesus that answer to the needs of a race who have lost the most important thing to them—a relationship with God. We need this relationship. It is the most vital thing we can obtain. It is the only reason worth living for, because He is the center of our world (Col. 1:16, 17). Yet sadly, most of us are often too easily satisfied with a substitute. We settle for something less than true intimacy with God.” (source)

“‘partnership’ is the essential feature of this release of divine grace; (1) believers reaching to receive Christ’s promise of ‘kingdom keys,’ (2) while choosing to believe in the Holy Spirit’s readiness to actuate their unleashing, unlimited power today.” (source)
