The Literal Standard Version (LSV) is a modern, literal, word-for-word (formal equivalence) English translation of the Holy Scriptures utilizing English word rearrangement when necessitated for readability. The LSV seeks to be the most literal translation of Bible, with significant improvement over previous literal translations, including Robert Young’s excellent Young’s Literal Translation.

  • Transliterates the proper Name of God ("YHWH"), without assuming a subjective pronunciation.
  • Capitalizes pronouns and other nounal forms are used for God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Christophanies.
  • Consistent approach to formal equivalence translation.
  • Uses a literal English translation approach based upon the Masoretic Text (MT) for the Old Testament and the Textus Receptus (TR) and Majority Text (M) for the New Testament.

Faithlife Would it be possible to add the introductory material to these bibles? They explain the translation philosophy and more importantly explain what the features are. The version for translators has marking and other items all over it but I have no idea what they mean. Thank you
