Overview

The Qur'an is one of the most significant pieces of modern literature because of how it has shaped modern culture and the make up of world religions. Its impact is visible in the adherence of approximately 1 billion people to the Islamic religion and the teachings of their prophet Muhammad. Originally written by Muhammad in the 6th century A.D., this work is seen by many as the pinnacle of Arabic literature.

This English translation of Al-Qur’an Al-Kareem is the Muslim faith’s holy text. The Meaning of the Holy Qur’an provides a code of living for members of the Islamic faith.

The Qur'an (or Koran, as often transliterated) is the holy book of Islam. This English version was translated from the original Arabic by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Incorporating this tool into your existing library allows you to study the writings of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, and gain a better understanding and perspective of the Muslim religion.

In light of its literary achievement as one of history's most important books and the magnitude of its following, the Qur'an is clearly a useful tool for any religious scholar. Using your Logos Bible Software, you can conduct word studies to compare the text of the Qur'an with your preferred Bible. Would like to see an update with european Orientalist's comments on verses and Surah's as help in understanding origins and history of Islam. Most English editions come with minor explanations and references to Jewish and Christian texts. The compilers of the Koran borrowed a lot from other religions including pre-islamic sources which western scholars (Nöldeke, Palmer, Nicholson) has pointed out.
