Not as strong or thorough as the NT counterpart. Still could be a handy reference, but it's in want of a more thorough update from the last edition. More details here: http://abramkj.com/2014/01/21/what-are-the-best-old-testament-commentaries-to-get/

I have the 3rd edition of this book. The edition I have provides a brief comment and an evaluation of single all-in-one commentaries, commentary sets and individual books for those who want to purchase the best commentary for their purposes without buying a complete set. This will be a valuable update taking into account more recently published works.
