Studies in the Torah, Vol. 4: Numbers

Studies on the weekly Torah readings (parashot) divided into both the Annual and Triennial cycles, with haftarah as well as a selection from the Apostolic Scriptures (New Testament). This fourth volume of Studies in the Torah comprises the teaching notes the author has used for their weekly Shabbat studies at Beit Hallel in Tacoma, WA. The studies that follow, therefore, do not comprise a commentary on the book of Numbers, at least not as we usually think of a commentary that deals with the text on a verse-by-verse or section-by-section basis, giving a detailed explanation of the biblical text. Rather, the author has concentrated on various themes that are apparent in Numbers and sought to show how the narrative highlights and carries forward these themes.
