Digital Verbum Edition
This book is a survey of the doctrine of Hell that is text-driven and strives to honor a complete reliance on the Scriptures alone as the final authority in this matter. It serves as an apologetic for the reality of God’s judgment as it is declared by the biblical writers. It aims at drawing clarity from the text in order to systematically arrive at what Hell is and what it is not. Above that, it strives to speak with the individual reader regarding their need of Christ and their inability to stand in the judgment without him (Psalm 1). It challenges the reader to see the wisdom and mercy of God both in judgment and in the proclamation of the gospel which is the only means of escaping the wrath that is yet to come. The chief aim of this work is to exalt Christ as the Lord that God through Christ may have all the glory both in judgment and in salvation from Hell.

Understanding the doctrine of hell is a necessary component to grasping the mercy and grace offered to us in the gospel of Christ. Jason rebuts false doctrines on hell exegetically and instructs on true biblical doctrine thoroughly in these pages. I would recommend this book to any pastor, elder, evangelist, or Christian seeking a deeper understanding on the doctrine. It is a timely work in an age when the truth about hell is avoided.

Teaching the doctrine of hell is something that is missing in many modern churches. In this text, Brother Tackett gives an in-depth explanation of the importance of the doctrine of hell, and why it is necessary for the church to teach this important subject. I believe this book should be a must-read for all teachers and preachers of the Gospel.
