“A general cooling of the Earth’s temperature by only six degrees would be sufficient to induce an Ice Age. First, a cooling effect would be needed. This was provided by the huge amounts of water and ice at the time of the Flood, producing worldwide refrigeration. Second, the carbon content in the atmosphere would have to increase. Because the water vapor canopy collapsed during the Flood, there would have been a change in the carbon content in the atmosphere. “Undoubtedly, the ‘springs of the great deep bursting forth’ in Genesis 7:11 (some translations read ‘the foundations of the deep were broken up’) refers to subterranean water sources. But it also probably refers to the spewing forth of volcanic magma and lava from underneath the Earth’s crust through fractures and fissures. It is believed that during the year of the Flood, and even hundreds of years after, thousands of volcanoes around the world were erupting.” (source)
“The biblical Flood could not have preceded the Ice Age. Thousands of animals and plants have been found quick-frozen in the polar regions. Some creatures still had unchewed food in their mouths and undigested in their stomachs. Continuous uncovering of such frozen life reveals there is still a massive abundance yet entombed under ice in the polar regions.” (source)
